Our co-founders are Terry Plotkin and Dovrah Plotkin. The program was founded in the Summer of 2012. Since then, the program has been expanding in numbers and in activities offered. This past year, we were excited to be able to offer partial separation by gender, age and skill level for optimal skill increase for all players.
Terry Plotkin is currently the Athletic Director and Boys Varsity ultimate coach at Four Rivers Charter Public School in Greenfield, MA and has been since 2003. He has coached high school and middle school teams for 18 years. He also plays the sport in pickup games and tournaments. Terry is the Athletic Director at Four Rivers and runs one of the biggest high school tournaments in the country with 36 teams attending. With over 30 years of ultimate experience, ultimate is not only his job, but his passion. This past year, his team came in third place at the Massachusetts state tournament held at the Oxbow Marina in Northampton, MA.
Dovrah Plotkin was the Four Rivers Junior Varsity Girls' ultimate coach in 2011 and 2012. Prior to that, she was the captain of the Four Rivers Girls Varsity ultimate team in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Since then, she coached athletes in the Boston area working for the Boston Ultimate Disc Alliance (BUDA), as well as receiving her Level 1 Ultimate Coaching Certification. She then started Brookline High School's first ever ultimate team with enough interest to have a JV and a Varsity team. She also ran their intramural ultimate program. In Spring 2016, the program vastly expanded to three boys teams and a girls team. In 2017, Dovrah coached the Four Rivers Girls Varsity Ultimate team and won the Northfield Mount Herman A div. tournament, the Four Rivers A div. tournament, and the state title at this year's Massachusetts high school state championship tournament held at the Oxbow Marina in Northampton, MA.
